Surprisingly, what you consume after completing your raw juice fast is just as important as the actual fast. The mistake a lot of people make is by introducing solid foods to abruptly after the raw juice fast. Its important to be mindful of the foods and drinks you consume post-fast. Don't celebrate your healthy victory with a steak and glass of alcohol, because this can easily undo all of your hard work! Yes I know the temptation is real, but the goal is to create a healthier lifestyle for yourself. Embarking on this health journey can be challenging and it will take time to get adjusted to. Remember success doesn't happen overnight, so be kind to yourself even when you make mistakes!
What should I do after my raw juice fast?
Solid food should be gradually introduced into your diet again. You still want to continue drinking raw juices everyday, especially in the morning on an empty stomach. During sleep our bodies are actively detoxing, so it's important to allow your body to continue detoxing until noon. At noon you can break your fast with fresh fruits, vegetables, salads, soup or vegan wraps. I wouldn't suggest eating any carbohydrates (bread, pasta, rice, potatoes,etc), meat, dairy, sugar or alcohol during the first 3 days after a raw juice detox. After your 3 days, now you can start to consume regular foods, just be mindful of what you eat. Next time you eat, ask yourself is this food contributing to your health or sickness.
